Cragsmoor is a wonderful community with a rich history to explore. We have owned our home here for over 33 years, where I design and make jewelry. Like the original Cragsmoor artists, I am inspired by our beautiful landscape and expansive vistas.

Danny Socolof has owned a home with Mary in Cragsmoor since 1991. I love the natural beauty, hiking, biking and watching the clouds. The founding artists remain an inspiration to me.

Andrew Wilder Treasurer
Andrew Wilder and his wife Karen have lived in Cragsmoor since 2011. He is inspired by the working artistic community, and by the rich history of Cragsmoor. He can be frequently seen enjoying the natural beauty of the mountain with a dog or two (or three).
Carolyn Peters Baker
I grew up listening to stories of Cragsmoor, the people, and landscape from the memories and experiences of my parents, who were both born in 1926 and had deep roots in Cragsmoor and
Mount Meenagha. On my mother’s side, her grandfather and grandmother were born on Mt. Meenagha in the 1860s and 1870s. My father’s family settled in Cragsmoor in 1800. With the passing of my mother at the age of 99 in 2025, there was a strong ancestral pull inside of me to honor those stories and information, and it was clear to me that the Cragsmoor Historical Society and its mission were an organization I wanted to support and be a part of.
